Through a series of terraced levels aligned along two primary axes, Arbourlac maximizes dramatic lake front views while carefully navigating its steep site. Designed for a couple aging in place, the house serves both as a daily serene retreat and periodic social gathering place for friends and family. Expansive outdoor balconies on upper levels project interior life out towards the lake over a basement level pool deck. Spanning the entire length of the house, the pool deck grounds Arbourlac within its natural context as a tangible extension of the lake.
